Moving home. Plan the connection early.
Check the new premises, arrange the retail service and know what to look for when you arrive.
Before you move
- Check whether the new address is connected or serviceable.
- Choose a provider and confirm the available plans.
- Ask whether network equipment is already installed and powered.
- Book any required activation or technician appointment early.
Your existing service does not move automatically
A retail internet service is linked to a specific premises. Contact your current provider to close or transfer the old service and place an order for the new address.
On moving day
Locate the network termination equipment and power supply. Connect the router to the port nominated by your provider, then follow the provider's activation and testing instructions.
If the address is new or incomplete
New lots, subdivisions and unit records may require additional qualification. Provide the lot number, plan details, unit number and developer information when asking for help.
